Dr. Jana Lynch

Dr. Jana Lynch received her Master's degree in Psychology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and her Ph.D. in Psychology from Oklahoma State University. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and has been trained also in EMDR and Thought-Field Therapy techniques. She has provided psychological treatment since 1980 in a wide variety of settings including Child Guidance Centers, a Geriatric Center, Domestic Violence Women's Shelter, Community Mental Health Centers and has been in private practice sine 1990 in the same office complex as her husband, Darrrell Lynch.

Dr. Jana's philosophy is that all individuals experience difficult times, the "rough spots" in life and may benefit from an objective point of view to help with life coping skills, problem solving, and general life enhancement. Like a caterpillar which enters a cocoon for the process of change, she believes that an individual may enter the the therapeutic cocoon and emerge as a more functional, balanced, and enhanced individual able to transcend and rise above life situations. Dr. Lynch utilizes many therapeutic strategies, including hypnosis, EMDR, Thought-Field Therapy, and a general social learning therapeutic approach. Her strategy is to empower her clients to feel more in control of their lives and destiny, learn new strategies for improving relationships and most importantly, to break the old maladaptive patterns and to learn from experience. "You can't change the past, but you can change the way you look at and feel about the past." It is important to remember that the "past is history, the future is mystery, and the present is a gift." Make your gift to yourself personal exploration and growth.
